As a sophomore in college, I transferred from George Washington University and graduated from Ohio State (Political Science). I was young, wide-eyed, and idealistic about democracy when I took the newly created position of telecom manager for the City of Columbus, where I worked for nearly 14 years.
That role made me uniquely privy to the inner workings of local government, where most of the people making decisions are hired for their politics rather than their qualifications.
After leaving the City, I began consulting with municipalities and school districts in the design and acquisition of phone systems.
I have been focused on state and local politics for about five years and was the lead for recruiting and engagement for the now-defunct Ohio Forward Party. After that effort failed, I joined Rank the Vote Ohio.
In 2022, I became aware of Ohio’s EdChoice Voucher Expansion and began a nearly 2-year quest to convince the Upper Arlington School Board to join the Vouchers Hurt Ohio lawsuit. Within a week of that vote (3-2 in favor), LifeWise Academy hit my radar, and thus began a relentless effort to expose who LifeWise (whose motto is “Public Schools are our Mission Field”) is and what they are doing in our public schools.
I am excited to join Central Ohio Freedom from Religion to help grow awareness around the spread of Christian Nationalism and advocate for the safety of our children and enforcement of the Establishment Clause.
